B & C Fire Safety Restaurant System Inspection Procedure
- All appliances properly covered with correct nozzles
- Duct and plenum covered with correct nozzles
- Check positioning of all nozzles
- System installed in accordance with MFG UL listing
- Hood/duct penetrations sealed with weld or UL device
- Check if seals are intact, evidence of tampering
- Check if system has been discharged or leaking
- Make sure pressure gauge is in proper range
- Check cartridge weight
- Check hydrostatic test date
- Check 6 year maintenance date
- Inspect cylinder and mount
- Operate system from terminal link
- Test for proper operation from remote manual pull
- Check operation of micro switch
- Check operation of gas valve
- Clean nozzles
- Make sure proper nozzle covers are in place
- Replace fuse links
- Check travel of cable
- Make sure piping and conduit securely bracketed
- Check for proper separation between fryers and flame
- Check proper clearance-flame to filters
- Make sure exhaust fan is in working order
- Replace all filters
- Fuel shut-off in on position
- Make sure remote manual set/seals in place
- Replace system covers
- Clean cylinder and mount
- Make sure fan warning sign is on hood
- Teach personnel on manual operation of system
